Ted McMinn
Kevin Clifton "Ted" McMinn (born 28 September 1962) is a Scottish former association footballer who played as a winger. His nickname is ''The Tin Man''. Playing career Early years Born in Castle Douglas and raised in nearby Dumfries, McMinn was alleged by ''The Scotsman'' to be called 'Teddy' at school because he ran as if he had a teddy bear tucked under his arm. In his autobiography McMinn stated it was because as a toddler he and his teddy bear were inseparable. McMinn started his playing career at Scottish junior side Glenafton Athletic in 1981. McMinn joined Glenafton from Dumfries High School FPs along with teammate Stewart Cochrane. Queen of the South McMinn returned to south-west Scotland joining Dumfries club Queen of the South in 1982. Castle Douglas
Castle Douglas () is a town in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It lies in the lieutenancy area of Kirkcudbrightshire, in the eastern part of Galloway, between the towns of Dalbeattie and Gatehouse of Fleet. It is in the ecclesiastical parish of Kelton. History Castle Douglas is built next to Carlingwark Loch in which traces of prehistoric crannogs can be found, evidence of early inhabitation of the area. A large bronze cauldron containing about 100 metal objects was found in Carlingwark Loch near Fir Island about 1866. The hoard of tools of iron and bronze is probably Romano-Belgic of the late first or early second centuries AD and is likely to have been a votive offering. Andy Thomson (Scottish Footballer)
Andrew Thomson (born 1 April 1971) is a Scottish former professional footballer, currently women's first-team assistant coach at Rangers. Thomson played in 548 league matches, scoring 194 league goals in a career that saw him play for Queen of the South, Partick Thistle, Falkirk and Stenhousemuir in Scotland and Southend United, Oxford United, Gillingham and Queens Park Rangers in England. Davie Cooper
David Cooper (25 February 1956 – 23 March 1995) was a Scottish professional association football, footballer who played as a winger (association football), winger. Born in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Hamilton, Cooper played as a youth for local side Hamilton Avondale, whilst also working as an apprentice printer for the club's owners. Willie Johnston
William McClure Johnston (born 19 December 1946) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He played over 600 games in a 20 year senior playing career. His 5 Rangers major trophy wins included him scoring 2 goals when winning the 1972 European Cup Winners' Cup final. Johnston also played for Hakoah Sydney, West Bromwich Albion, Vancouver Whitecaps, Birmingham City, Heart of Midlothian, South China AA and East Fife. With the Whitecaps he was part of the Soccer Bowl '79 winning team. His 22 full Scotland caps included against Peru at the 1978 FIFA World Cup. Willie Henderson
William Henderson (born 24 January 1944) is a Scottish retired footballer. He played most of his career for Rangers, and spent the latter part of his career with Sheffield Wednesday, in Hong Kong with Hong Kong Rangers and with Airdrieonians. He also featured at international level for Scotland. Henderson made his career debut in 1960 at the age of 16. Ibrox Stadium is a football stadium on the south side of the River Clyde in the Ibrox area of Glasgow, Scotland. The home of Scottish Premiership team Rangers, Ibrox is the third-largest football stadium in Scotland, with an all-seated capacity of 51,700. John Martin Bokas Wallace (6 September 1935 – 24 July 1996) was a Scottish professional footballer and manager. Alan Davidson (born 17 April 1960) is a Scottish former football goalkeeper. Davidson is the son of former FIFA referee Bob Davidson. Early years Davidson played his youth football with Royal Albert until June 1979, before joining Celtic for the start of season 1979–80. Davidson played in the reserve and youth teams during his season at Celtic Park. He re-joined Royal Albert for the 1980–81 season.
