Childhood Malone was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of Frank Arthur Russell and Grace Aurora Gunter Russell. His father was a minister. He became interested in oral performance when he attended high school in Missouri. He was also a debater in college, and graduated from William Jewell College in 1928. Career Malone had a career in radio as a storyteller and reader of poetry. Malone's broadcasting style was that of a friendly neighbor dropping by to chat. He was one of the few broadcast interpretationists recorded in the history of radio. Malone had a career in radio for more than forty years. Edward Cyril "Ted" Malone (born July 17, 1937) is a retired Saskatchewan lawyer, politician and judge. He represented Regina Lakeview in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan from 1973 to 1978 and was leader of the Liberal Party of Saskatchewan from 1976 to 1981. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1937, the son of Justin Cyril Malone and Marion Grassick who was the daughter of James Grassick, a Regina MLA and mayor. Malone studied law at the University of Saskatchewan and went on to work for the federal and provincial Liberal parties. Ted Malone (Australian Politician)
George Edward (Ted) Malone (born 14 November 1943) is an Australian politician. He was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 1994 to 2015, representing the electorate of Mirani for the Nationals and its successor the Liberal National Party. He was Assistant Minister for Emergency Volunteers between November 2012 and January 2015. Malone was born in Mackay, and was a cane farmer and grazier before entering politics. He had also served as Chairman of Directors of the Australian Cane Farmers Association. He is married with two daughters. Malone was elected to the Legislative Assembly at a 1994 by-election for the safe National seat of Mirani, following the resignation of Jim Randell.
