Ted Adel
Ted Adel is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Yukon in the 2016 election. He represented the electoral district of Copperbelt North as a member of the Yukon Liberal Party untl his defeat in the 2021 Yukon general election. Adel worked for Canada Post and held executive positions within the Canadian Union of Postal Workers before retiring in 2007. He worked as a real estate agent and for the Yukon Liquor Corporation before entering territorial politics. He has a bachelor of arts from Wilfrid Laurier University. Adel first ran unsuccessfully in the rural riding of Mount Lorne-Southern Lakes for the Yukon Liberal Party in the 2011 Yukon election, losing to New Democrat Kevin Barr. Copperbelt North is an electoral district which returns a member (known as an MLA) to the Legislative Assembly of Yukon in Canada. The riding was created in 2009 following the amalgamation of part of the district of Whitehorse West and the former district of Copperbelt. 2011 Yukon General Election
The 2011 general election in Yukon, Canada, took place on October 11, 2011, to return members to the 33rd Yukon Legislative Assembly. The incumbent government was led by Darrell Pasloski, who was elected as leader of the Yukon Party at a convention on May 28, 2011, replacing former Premier Dennis Fentie. The Yukon Party won its third majority government, with Elizabeth Hanson's NDP becoming the Official Opposition, replacing the Liberal Party, whose leader Arthur Mitchell was unable to return to the Assembly. The Yukon First Nation Party was a territorial First Nations political party in Yukon, Canada. It was registered three days before the 2011 general election was called, by Gerald Dickson Sr., a member of the Kluane First Nation. Whitehorse, Yukon
Whitehorse () is the capital of Yukon, and the largest city in Northern Canada. It was incorporated in 1950 and is located at kilometre 1426 (Historic Mile 918) on the Alaska Highway in southern Yukon. Whitehorse's downtown and Riverdale areas occupy both shores of the Yukon River, which rises in British Columbia and meets the Bering Sea in Alaska. Kevin Barr is a Canadian politician, who served in the Yukon Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016.
