The Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE, commonly known and branded as CareerTech) is an agency of the state of Oklahoma located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. CareerTech oversees a statewide system of career and technology education. The system comprises 29 technology center districts and 395 comprehensive school districts. CareerTech also has skills centers that serve state correctional facilities and juvenile detention facilities. The State Board of Career and Technology Education is the governing body of the department, composed of the Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction and eight members appointed by the Governor of Oklahoma with the approval of the Oklahoma Senate. The board appoints the director of career and technology education, who serves as the chief executive officer of the department and serves as a nonvoting member of the state board. The Advanced Technology College (ATC) is a four-year technical college located in Daytona Beach, Florida in the United States. This technical college carries courses such as computer technology, construction, manufacturing, engineering, and automotive services. The ATC is involved in a joint-partnership program with Volusia County and Flagler County school districts. Children's Discovery Museum station is an at-grade light rail station on the Blue Line of the VTA light rail system. Transportation Technology Center
The Transportation Technology Center (TTC) is a railroad equipment testing and training facility located northeast of Pueblo, Colorado, owned by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). It was built in 1971 as the High Speed Ground Test Center (HSGTC) for the Department of Transportation (DOT) and its original purpose was to test several hovertrain concepts. When those projects were completed in the 1970s, the site was handed to the FRA. Technology Center (Washington & Jefferson College)
The Technology Center is an academic building on the campus of Washington & Jefferson College housing the Information Technology Leadership program. It houses over 200 instructional computers for use by the Information Technology Leadership and related classes. A statue of a coal miner, representing the work ethic and spirit of Western Pennsylvania, sits in the green space in front of the building. The building was known as the Vilar Technology Center, in honor of alum Alberto Vilar, who had pledged $18.1 million to construct the building. After he reneged on that pledge in 2003, the building was renamed the Technology Center and plans for it were scaled back. Reese Technology Center is a research and business park located on the grounds of former Reese Air Force Base in western Lubbock at the unincorporated community of Reese Center. History In 1995, Reese Air Force Base was placed on the Pentagon’s list for base closures via the BRAC process despite opposition from community members and leaders.
