The Technical Ecstasy Tour was a concert tour by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath. It began on 22 October 1976 and ended on 22 April 1977. Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath were an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1968 by guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne. They are often cited as pioneers of heavy metal music. The band helped define the genre with releases such as '' Black Sabbath'' (1970), '' Paranoid'' (1970) and '' Master of Reality'' (1971). Tony Iommi
Anthony Frank Iommi () (born 19 February 1948) is a British musician. He co-founded the pioneering heavy metal band Black Sabbath, and was the band's guitarist, leader and primary composer and sole continuous member for nearly five decades. Iommi was ranked number 25 in ''Rolling Stone'' magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". On his last day of work in a sheet metal factory, as a teenager, Iommi lost the tips of the middle and ring fingers of his right hand in an accident, an event which crucially impacted his playing style. In an interview with ''Q magazine'', Beck Hansen named the "Supernaut" riff as his all-time favourite, equal with Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl".
