Tebnin SC
Tebnin SC (), sometimes Tebnine SC, was a Lebanese sports club. It originates in Tebnine, Tyre District, Lebanon. Tebnin SC basketball team is part of the Lebanese Basketball League in division A after ascending the 4 divisions in the league. It plays its home games in the ''Cité Sportive'' indoor stadium in the Beirut's southern suburbs. Tebnin SC withdrew from the division A in the 2009–10 season, the team is relegated. The Lebanese Basketball League is recognized as the top-tier professional men's basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Lebanon. It is organized annually as a national championship with playoffs and a national cup by the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB). Currently, the league consists of #Teams, 12 teams, of which six are located in Beirut. The most successful club in the history of the league is Al Riyadi Club Beirut. Dynamo Lebanon () was a Lebanese basketball club located in Saifi Village, Beirut, Lebanon. It was disbanded in 2023. History The club which was known as Tebnin SC, won the Lebanese Division 2 in 2005 and Lebanese Division 1 in 2006. Following their name change in 2020, their highest achievements were winning the 2020–21 Lebanese Cup, in addition to finishing the 2022–23 Lebanese Basketball League as regular season champions, before the losing the title in the finals. Bakari Akil Hendrix (born May 23, 1977) is a retired American basketball player. He was a standout player at Gonzaga University and played professionally in eleven countries. Hendrix, a 6'8" power forward from St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School in Vallejo, California, played collegiate basketball at Solano Community College (1994 to 1995) and Gonzaga (1995 to 1998). At Gonzaga, Hendrix faced a tough start as he fractured his ankle in his sophomore year - limiting his season to just nine games. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court), while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop.
