Team TG FF, also known as Team ThorenGruppen, is a Sweden, Swedish Association football, football club located in Umeå, part of a sports club Team Thorengruppen. The club was founded in 2014. In 2015 the club took over Tegs SK FF, a secession of the senior team in Tegs SK. Background Team Thorengruppen, Team Thorengruppen SK was founded in 2005 as a floorball club. Until 2014 the club was mainly associated with floorball. The football club is affiliated to the Västerbottens Fotbollförbund. 2016 Division 1 (Swedish Football)
The 2016 Division 1, part of the 2016 Swedish football season, is the 11th season of Sweden's third-tier football league in its current format. The 2016 fixtures were released in December 2015. The season started on 16 April 2016 and ended on 6 November 2016. Teams 28 teams contest the league separated into two divisions, Norra and Södra. 19 returning from the 2015 season, three relegated from Superettan and six promoted from Division 2. The champion of each division will qualify directly for promotion to Superettan, the two runners-up has to play a play-off against the thirteenth and fourteenth team from Superettan to decide who will play in Superettan 2017. The bottom three teams in each division will qualify directly for relegation to Division 2, while the 11th team from each division has to play a play-off against the best runners-up from Division 2 to avoid relegation. Ettan Fotboll, or simply Ettan (), which also is its common name in everyday speech, is the third level in the Swedish football league system and consists of 32 Swedish football teams. Floorball
Floorball (also known by other names) is a sport played with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. It is played indoors with sticks and a hollow plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development. The game was invented in Sweden in the late 1960s. Team Thorengruppen
Team Thorengruppen (or Thorengruppen IBK) is a sports club based in Umeå, Sweden. The club was founded in 2005 and is named after its main sponsor. The women's team was founded in 2013 by taking over ''Ersboda SK'' club. Since season 2020–21, it has played in the Swedish Super League. At the same time, it took over players from the dissolved team IKSU, also based in Umeå, the winner of the previous season and a seven-time Swedish champion overall. Since promotion, the team has won all five championship titles, two Champions Cups in 2023 and 2024, and three Swedish Cups.
