England Roller Derby represents England in women's international roller derby, at events such as the Roller Derby World Cup. The team was first formed to compete at the 2011 Roller Derby World Cup in Toronto, Canada, and competed in the 2014 Roller Derby World Cup in Dallas, USA and the 2018 Roller Derby World Cup in Manchester, UK. Results 2011 Finished the tournament in third place, losing by 161 points to 90 to Team Canada in the semifinal, but beating Team Australia by 203 points to 85 in the third-place playoff. 2011 Roller Derby World Cup
The 2011 Roller Derby World Cup was an international women's roller derby tournament organized by ''Blood & Thunder'' magazine. Teams of amateur skaters from around the world were fielded to compete for their respective nations. The inaugural 2011 Roller Derby World Cup was hosted by Toronto Roller Derby, and was held December 1 through 4, 2011, at The Bunker at Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was won by Team USA, who beat Team Canada by a score of 336 points to 33 in the final. Live online coverage of the entire event was broadcast on the Derby News Network. The Dolly Rockit Rollers (DRR) are a flat track roller derby league based in Leicestershire, England. Formed in January 2010, they are members of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), which they joined in July 2014. The league has been a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA) since September 2011. League History DRR were formed in January 2010 by skaters Sally-Anne Scrivener (derby name Slamabama) from Birmingham’s Central City Rollergirls and Nitro Noush of Rebellion Roller Girls. They were both living in Leicester and travelling to Birmingham and Milton Keynes respectively to play roller derby. Charm City Roller Derby (CCRD), is a flat track roller derby league in Baltimore, Maryland. Founded in 2005, Charm City is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). History and league structure The league was established in 2005 as Charm City Roller Girls, when Caroline Donaghy returned to Baltimore from Houston, where she had skated with the Space City Roller Girls, and began promoting the intention to start a league in Baltimore. The first public Charm City game was held in 2006 at Skateland in Putty Hill. Bristol Roller Derby (BRD) is a roller derby league based in Bristol. Founded in 2010, the league consists of two women's roller derby teams, a men's team, a Co-Ed team and a fledgling juniors team. History The league was founded early in 2010 by Tuisku Sarrala, Anna Wong, Laura Phillips, Laura Lopez, Maria Cormack, Simone Bennett and Verona.
