Tbilisi Metro
The Tbilisi Metro ( ka, თბილისის მეტროპოლიტენი, tr) is a rapid transit system in the Georgia (country), Georgian capital Tbilisi. Opened on 11 January 1966, it was the List of metro systems in the Soviet Union, fourth metro system in the Post-Soviet states, former Soviet Union. Like other ex-Soviet metros, most of the stations are very deep and vividly decorated. State University (Tbilisi Metro)
The State University metro station ( ka, სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი, tr) is located on Saburtalo Line in Tbilisi, Georgia. It is the western terminus of the Saburtalo Line. Construction of the State University station began in 1985 but ceased due to financial difficulties in 1994 and conserved in 2000. The station was completed close between 2015 and 2017 with the help of the Asian Development Bank. It was opened on 16 October 2017. Self-immolation
Self-immolation is the act of setting oneself on fire. It is mostly done for political or religious reasons, often as a form of protest or in acts of martyrdom, and known for its disturbing and violent nature. Gotsiridze (Tbilisi Metro)
Gotsiridze ( ka, გოცირიძე) is a station on the Akhmeteli–Varketili Line of the Tbilisi Metro. It opened on 11 January 1966. It was formerly known as Elektrodepo ( ka, ელექტროდეპო "(central) electric railway depot"). It was renamed after engineer Viktor Gotsiridze in 2011. Delisi (Tbilisi Metro)
Delisi ( ka, დელისი) is a metro station on the Saburtalo Line in Tbilisi, Georgia. The station is named after the historic settlement of Delisi, which today is used to refer to this area of Saburtalo surrounding the metro station. From 1995 to 2006 the station was known as Gotsiridze in honor of Viktor Gotsiridze, one of the founders of the Tbilisi Metro. The station has two entrances and is located at the intersection of Vazha-Pshavela Avenue and Mikheil Tamarashvili Street. The station and its surrounding area act as a transport hub, serving the upland settlements and areas of the Vake and Saburtalo districts with several bus routes. Vazha-Pshavela (Tbilisi Metro)
Vazha-Pshavela ( ka, ვაჟა-ფშაველა ) is a metro station on the Saburtalo Line in Tbilisi, Georgia. The station is named after the great Georgian poet Vazha-Pshavela. The station was opened on 3 April 2000. It is located on Vazha-Pshavela avenue close to the Vazha-Pshavela statue. The metro station serves Vazha-Pshavela blocks and nearby streets and upland neighborhoods of Saburtalo. The station walls have illustrations depicting Vazha-Pshavela's works. Saburtalo Line
The Saburtalo Line ( ka, საბურთალოს ხაზი, tr) is a line of the Tbilisi Metro in Georgia. The line was first opened in 1979, running originally from Station Square, where Tbilisi Central Railway station is located to Delisi and has since extended to the western residential districts of the city, near Tbilisi State University’s X and XI buildings. It is a second line of the system and runs from the east and west direction of Tbilisi, in contrast to the First Line which runs north-south axis of the city. Mikheil "Misha" Saakashvili (born 21 December 1967) is a Georgian and Ukrainian politician and jurist.
