Taylor Momsen
Taylor Michel Momsen (born July 26, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, model, guitarist, and former actress. Prior to her retirement from acting, she portrayed the character of Cindy Lou Who in the film ''How the Grinch Stole Christmas'' (2000) and Jenny Humphrey on The CW's teen drama series ''Gossip Girl'' (2007–2010; 2012). Momsen has been the frontwoman of the American rock band the Pretty Reckless since their inception in 2009. Early life Momsen was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Her parents are Michael and Collette Momsen. She also has a younger sister, Sloane Momsen, who is also an actress. She is of partial Russian descent. Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is a private primary school serving pre-kindergarten through 8th grade located in Bethesda, Maryland. The school is affiliated with Our Lady of Lourdes parish and is a part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington school system. History Our Lady of Lourdes was founded in 1941 when the parish undertook a building drive which included a school building and a convent. The school's gymnasium served as the church until the present church structure was completed in 1951. ''Paranoid Park'' is a 2007 coming of age teen drama film written, directed and edited by Gus Van Sant. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Blake Nelson and takes place in Portland, Oregon. It is the story of a teenage skateboarder (played by Gabe Nevins) set against the backdrop of a police investigation into a mysterious death. Van Sant wrote the draft script in two days after reading and deciding to adapt Nelson's novel.
