Tayeb Belaiz
Tayeb Belaiz (; 21 August 1948 – 13 May 2023) was an Algerian jurist and politician who held different cabinet posts. He served as Algeria's minister of justice between 2004 and 2012 and minister of interior between 2013 and 2015. Early life and education Belaiz was born in Maghnia on 21 August 1948. He held a bachelor's degree in law. Career Belaiz started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then joined the Algerian judiciary system. He served in various public posts before holding cabinet position, including presidential advisor, and court chair of Saida and Oran. He also worked as the president of the Algerian supreme court. Belaiz served as the minister of employment and national solidarity in the cabinet formed by Prime Minister Ali Benflis in 2002. He was appointed minister of justice in the cabinet headed by Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia in April 2004. Abdelaziz Bouteflika
Abdelaziz Bouteflika (; ; 2 March 1937 – 17 September 2021) was an Algerian politician and diplomat who served as the seventh president of Algeria from 1999 to his resignation in 2019. Before his stint as an Algerian politician, Bouteflika served during the Algerian War as a member of the National Liberation Front (Algeria), National Liberation Front. After Algeria gained its independence from France, he served as the List of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Minister of Foreign Affairs between 1963 until 1979. He served as President of the United Nations General Assembly during the 1974–1975 session. The First minister of Algeria is the head of government of Algeria. Nadir Larbaoui has been the prime minister since 11 November 2023. Saïda, Algeria
Saïda (, Latn, ar, saʿīda, ) is a communes of Algeria, commune and the capital city of Saïda Province, Algeria. History The city's site has been of military importance ever since the Ancient Rome, Romans built a fort there. Saïda was a stronghold of Abd al-Qadir al-Jaza'iri, Abd al-Qadir, the Algerian national leader, who burned the town as Second French Empire, French forces approached it in 1844. Modern Saïda was founded as a French military outpost in 1854 and once housed a regiment of the French Foreign Legion. Algerians () are the citizens and nationals of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. The majority of the country's population is composed of Arabs who make up 85% of the population, and there is a Berber minority of 15%.
