Tay (bot)
Tay was a chatbot that was originally released by Microsoft Corporation as a Twitter bot on March 23, 2016. It caused subsequent controversy when the bot began to post inflammatory and offensive tweets through its Twitter account, causing Microsoft to shut down the service only 16 hours after its launch. According to Microsoft, this was caused by trolls who "attacked" the service as the bot made replies based on its interactions with people on Twitter. It was replaced with Zo. Background The bot was created by Microsoft's Technology and Research and Bing divisions, and named "Tay" as an acronym for "thinking about you". Although Microsoft initially released few details about the bot, sources mentioned that it was similar to or based on Xiaoice, a Microsoft project in China. ''Stuff'' is a British consumer electronics magazine published by Kelsey Media. History ''Stuff'' was first published in Britain in November 1996 by Dennis Publishing. A bimonthly title, it followed the success of magazines such as '' FHM'' and '' Loaded'' in being pitched toward a young, male audience, with a focus on consumer goods and electronics. The brand took a more lifestyle-orientated direction in 1998, before publishing group Haymarket bought the title in January 1999 and refocused the magazine to consumer electronics. In May 2018, the brand was sold to Kelsey Media, after the attempt to sell the brand to Future plc (which already owned competing title '' T3'') fell through due to regulatory concerns. IBM Watson is a computer system capable of question answering, answering questions posed in natural language. Roman Vladimirovich Yampolskiy (; born in Riga, 13 August 1979) is a Latvian computer scientist at the University of Louisville, mostly known for his work on AI safety and cybersecurity. He holds a PhD from the University at Buffalo (2008). Gamergate Controversy
Gamergate or GamerGate (GG) was a loosely organized misogynistic online harassment campaign motivated by a right-wing backlash against feminism, diversity, and progressivism in video game culture. It was conducted using the hashtag "#Gamergate" primarily in 2014 and 2015. Gamergate targeted women in the video game industry, most notably feminist media critic Anita Sarkeesian and video game developers Zoë Quinn and Brianna Wu.
