Tavagna
Tavagna is a former Corsican piève. Located in northeast Corsica, it belonged to the province of Bastia in political terms and the diocese of Mariana in religious terms. Geography The land of Tavagna corresponded to the territories of the communes of: * Taglio-Isolaccio, * Talasani Talasani () is a rural commune and village on the eastern seaboard of Corsica, in the Haute-Corse department of France. Church The church, or "piève" of Tavagna was the church of San Ghjuvanni Battista, located in the municipality of Poggio-Mezzana. Today, the church has been completely renovated. Velone-Orneto
Velone-Orneto is a commune in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica. Geography The municipality of Velone-Orneto is located about forty miles south of Bastia, and is part of the Tavagna (Haute-Corse), with four other municipalities: Taglio-Isolaccio, Pero-Casevecchie, Talasani and Poggio-Mezzana. Six hamlets composing the municipality: Orneto, Carbonaccia, Velone, Inelaccia, Fiuminale Suttanu and Fiuminale Supranu (the latter three have been abandoned). Talasani () is a rural commune and village on the eastern seaboard of Corsica, in the Haute-Corse department of France. The area has a very low population density and mainly comprises forests and farmland. As a coastal municipality, Talasani enforces strict urban planning provisions in order to preserve the ecological balance of the coast. Geography Talasani is a village on the eastern coast of Corsica, part of the canton of Casinca-Fumalto. It was once part of the ''piève'', or religious district, of '' Tavagna''.
