Tauro F.C.
The Tauro Fútbol Club is a professional soccer club based in the district of Pedregal east of Panama City, Panama. It was founded on 22 September 1984 and has participated in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol, Panamanian Football League (LPF) since 1988. Its founder, Giancarlo Gronchi, was a fan of Juventus and for that reason the colours of the club and uniform are black and white. They have won thirteen championships between 1989 and 2017, making them the most successful club in the league. Their traditional rival has been Plaza Amador, ever since the founding of the Liga Panameña de Fútbol, LPF, originally as the Asociación Nacional Pro Fútbol (ANAPROF), in 1988. Their meetings are known as the "El Clásico" in Panama. Estadio Rommel Fernández
The Estadio Olímpico Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez, named after the Panamanian football star Rommel Fernández (1966–1993), is a multi-purpose stadium in Panama City. It is used for different sports, but mainly football (soccer) games. It was inaugurated February 6, 1970, and was designed to accommodate the XI Central American and Caribbean Games in 1970. Juan Carlos Cubillas
Juan Carlos Cubillas (born 20 October 1971) is a retired Panamanian football midfielder. He is currently the manager of Panama U-17. Club career Cubillas spent the majority of his career with local side Tauro. In summer 2005, he went to play alongside compatriot Ángel Luis Rodríguez for Ecuadoran second division team Santa Rita. International career Cubillas made his debut for Panama in a June 1996 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Belize and has earned a total of 53 caps, scoring 2 goals. He represented his country in 15 FIFA World Cup qualification matches. His final international was a February 2005 UNCAF Nations Cup match against Guatemala. In Panamanian football, the ANAPROF Apertura 2008 season (''officially "Torneo Apertura 2008"'') started on February 22, 2008. On May 31, 2008, the Apertura 2008 finalized with San Francisco F.C. crowned five time ANAPROF champion after beating Tauro F.C. 3–1. Changes for Apertura 2008 *The league was split into two groups for the regular season with a 4-team playoff after the season was completed. The semifinals are two-leg playoffs, and the final is a single match.
