Tatyana Dronina
Tatyana Nikolayevna Dronina (; born 16 November 1978) is a Russian team handball player, playing for the club Zvezda Zvenigorod and for the Russian women's national handball team. At the 2009 World Women's Handball Championship she reached the final and won the gold medal with the Russian team. Career Dronina started playing handball at age 13, and played until 1999 for the Moscow club Veshnyaki. She then joined top league cub Dinamo Volgograd, where she won the 2000 and 2001 Russian championship and finished second in 2002. She then joined Rostov-Don for two years, before joining Zvezda Zvenigorod. In 2006 she took a break from handball due to pregnancy. She returned to handball in the summer of 2008, where she joined GK-53 Moskau. Half a season later she returned to Zvezda Zvenigorod. In 2010 she joined Handball Club Lada. Balashikha ( rus, Балашиха, p=bəlɐˈʂɨxə) is a city in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Pekhorka River east of the Moscow Ring Road. The 2009 World Women's Handball Championship was the 19th edition, second to take place outside Europe, of the international championship tournament in women's team sport handball that is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF). People's Republic of China, China hosted the event from 5-20 December 2009. The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball. Team Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a Handball goalkeeper, goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. World Women's Handball Championship
The IHF Women's Handball World Championship has been organized by the International Handball Federation since 1957. European teams have won every time except 1995 where South Korea won as the first team outside Europe and 2013 where Brazil won as the first American team. The biggest winners are Russia and Norway with four titles each. Nine teams participated in the first championship, this number has grown in steps to 32 (from 2021). In 1977 a B-tournament was introduced and later in 1986 a C-tournament which served as qualification for the real championship or A-tournament. Russia Women's National Handball Team
The Russia women's national handball team is the national team of the Russian Federation. It is governed by the Handball Federation of Russia and takes part in international handball competitions. They are as of October 2021, together with its predecessor the USSR team, the only handball women's team in the world, to have won the World Championship three consecutive times. HC Kuban Krasnodar
HC Kuban Krasnodar is a Russian women's handball team from Krasnodar competing in the Russian Super League. Kuban enjoyed its golden era in the late 1980s, winning two Cup Winners' Cups in 1987 and 1988 by beating TSC Berlin and Vasas Budapest in the final, and reaching the 1990 European Cup's final, lost to Hypo Niederösterreich, after winning the 1989 Soviet Championship. Kuban also played a third unsuccessful Cup Winners' Cup final in 1989. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union Kuban won the transitional CIS Championship, but it hasn't been able to win the new Russian Super League to date.
