Tatiana Larionova
Tatiana Petrovna Larionova (; born 2 July 1955, Kazan) is a Russian political figure and deputy of the 8th State Duma. In 2005, she was granted a Candidate of Sciences in Sociology degree. From 1983 to 1991, she worked in the Communist Party of the Soviet Union as an instructor, deputy head, head of the propaganda and agitation department, and second secretary of the Volga Federal District committee in Kazan. In 1991, Larionova started working in the Kazan city administration. From 2001 to 2006, he was the Head of the Department of Social Protection of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan. In November 2006, she was appointed state advisor to President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev. From 2014 to 2021, she was the deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the 5th and 6th convocations. The Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" () is a state decoration of the Russian Federation. It was instituted on 2 March 1994 by Presidential Decree 442. Until the re-establishment of the Order of St. Andrew in 1998, it was the highest order of the Russian Federation. The order's status was modified on 6 January 1999 by Presidential Decree 19 and again on 7 September 2010 by Presidential Decree 1099. Mintimer Sharipovich Shaimiev (born 20 January 1937) is a Russian former politician who served as the president of Tatarstan from 1991 to 2010. He was re-elected as president in 1996, 2001, and 2005. Biography Shaimiev was born in the village of Anyakovo, in Aktanyshsky District of the Tatar ASSR. He graduated from the Kazan Agricultural Institute in 1959, and worked as an agricultural engineer. He joined the Communist Party in 1963. In 1967 he was an instructor and deputy head of the agricultural department at Tatarstan's regional party organization. In 1969 Shaimiev was appointed Minister for Amelioration and Water Economy of his republic and in 1983 he became the first deputy chair of the Tatar Council of Ministers. In September 1989 Shaimiev became first secretary of Tatarstan's Communist Party organization. In the same year he was elected to the Congress of Peoples's Deputies. The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan (; ), formerly known as the President of the Republic of Tatarstan (1991–2023, ), is the head of the republic and the highest-ranking official of Tatarstan, a federal subject of Russia. The office was established in 1991.
