Tata Curvv
The Tata Curvv is a coupe subcompact crossover SUV produced by Tata Motors since 2024. It was introduced in the Indian market in August 2024 with three powertrain options, from petrol, diesel, and battery electric that is marketed as the Curvv EV. The Curvv is based on the smaller Nexon, with a lengthened rear section and reworked body panels while newer engine options and additional technology such as level 2 ADAS being reserved for top trims. A dual-clutch transmission (DCT) (sometimes referred to as a twin-clutch transmission) is a type of multi-speed motor vehicle, vehicle Transmission (mechanics), transmission system, that uses two separate clutches for odd and even gear train, gear sets. The Latin New Car Assessment Programme (Latin NCAP) is an Automobile safety rating, automobile safety assessment programme for Latin America and the Caribbean. Founded in 2010, it offers independent information to consumers about the safety levels of new cars in the market. Latin NCAP tests are based in international renowned methodologies, with vehicles awarded a safety rating between 0 and 5 stars, indicating the protection the cars offer to adult and child occupants. The programme started as a joint initiative and in 2014 it was established as an association under a legal entity framework. Bharat NCAP
The Bharat New Car Assessment Program, also known as the Bharat NCAP, is the official New Car Assessment Program for India. Cars sold in the country will be assigned by star ratings based on their safety performance. It was implemented in phases, according to the plans drawn up by the National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project. It is the 10th NCAP in the world and was set up by the government of India. The program was expected to begin mid-2014, but postponed to start from 2017. It was later scrapped until finally launching in August 2023. The Tata Nexon is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by the Indian automaker Tata Motors since 2017. It is the first crossover SUV from the brand and occupies the sub-4 metre crossover SUV segment in India. The Nexon was presented as a production model in early 2016 and went on sale in 2017.
