Ahmed Tasnim
Ahmad Tasnim (; born 1935) is a retired three-star rank admiral of the Pakistan Navy who is known for his command of ''Hangor'', a submarine that sank INS Khukri on 8 December 1971 during Indo-Pakistani war of 1971, off the coast of Diu, Gujarat. The sinking of INS Khukri was the first submarine kill since World War II, and the only one until a Royal Navy ''Conqueror'' sank an Argentinian cruiser ( ''General Belgrano'') during the Falklands War of the 1980s. In the 1990s, he was appointed chairman of the Karachi Port Trust and the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation while serving in the Navy until he retired in 1994. Tasneem Tafsir (also known as Tafsir Tasnim) is an exegesis of the Quran by contemporary Shia scholar Abdollah Javadi Amoli. The work is written in Persian. The exegesis follows Tabatabaei's al-Mizan, in that it tries to interpret a verse based on other verses. Tasneem Motara (born 7 December 1982) is a South African politician from Gauteng. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), she has served in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature and Gauteng Executive Council since 2019. She is currently serving as the province's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Human Settlements. Motara entered politics through the ANC Youth League in her hometown of Ekurhuleni. Tasneem Zehra Husain is a Pakistani theoretical physicist. She is one of few Pakistani women to obtain a doctorate in physics, and the first Pakistani woman string theorist. An eminent scientist, she has been a guest speaker at a various schools and colleges in an effort to promote science and technology in Pakistan.
