The Special Operations Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Regiment () (พัน.ปพ. รพศ.3) also known as Task Force 90 () is a special forces unit of the Royal Thai Army (RTA). Royal Thai Army Special Warfare Command
The Royal Thai Army Special Warfare Command () also known as Pa Wai Airborne () is the special forces of the Royal Thai Army. Its headquarters are King Narai Camp in Lopburi. History The Royal Thai Army recognizes the importance and necessity of warfare that can confront and reduce the threat from outside the country. It set up a special forces unit on June 4, 1954, at Ban Pa Wai Patan, Lopburi. Royal Thai Army special forces settled was first known as Parachute Infantry Battalion, with Lieutenant Colonel Tianchai Sirisumpan as the battalion commander. Thanasak Patimaprakorn (; born 9 November 1953) is a Thai military officer who formerly served as its Prime Minister of Thailand#Deputy prime ministers, deputy prime minister and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Thailand), Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Reconnaissance Battalion or RECON ( is an elite reconnaissance battalion in the Royal Thai Marine Corps (RTMC), falling under the Royal Thai Marines Division. The Naval Special Warfare Command (), commonly known as the Royal Thai Navy SEALs (an acronym for SEa–Air–Land), is an elite special operations force of the Royal Thai Navy. The Royal Thai Police (RTP) (; ) is the national police force of Thailand. The RTP employs between 210,700 and 230,000 officers, roughly 17 percent of all civil servants (excluding the military and the employees of state-owned enterprises).
