Tarun Agarwala
Tarun Agarwala (born 3 March 1956) is an Indian Judge and former Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court. Career Agarwala passed Law from the University of Allahabad. In 1981 he started practice on Civil, Constitutional and Taxation matters in Allahabad High Court. He became a Permanent Judge of the Allahabad High Court on 18 August 2005. Justice Agarwala was transferred to Uttarakhand High Court in 2009 and served there as acting Chief Justice. He was elevated to the post of Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court on 12 February 2018. Allahabad High Court
Allahabad High Court, also known as High Court of Judicature at Allahabad is the high court based in Prayagraj that has jurisdiction over the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It was established on 17 March 1866, making it one of the oldest high courts to be established in India. History Prayagraj became the seat of Government of North-Western Provinces and a High Court was established in 1834 but was shifted to Agra within a year. In 1875 it shifted back to Prayagraj. Uttarakhand High Court
The Uttarakhand High Court is the High Court of the state of Uttarakhand in India. The building of Uttarakhand High Court was constructed by Santoni MacDonald in 1900. The Uttarakhand State was carved out from the State of Uttar Pradesh on 9 November 2000 under the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000. At the time of the creation of the State, the High Court of Uttarakhand was also established on the same day at Nainital. The sanctioned judge strength at the time of creation in 2000 was 7; this was increased to 9 in 2003. Justice Ashok Desai was the inaugural holder of the office. Former Chief Justices of Uttarakhand Sarosh Homi Kapadia and Jagdish Singh Khehar later went on to become Chief Justice of India.
