Taron Johnson
Taron Johnson (born July 27, 1996) is an American professional football cornerback for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Weber State Wildcats and was selected by the Bills in the 4th round of the 2018 NFL draft. Johnson primarily plays as a nickelback and has therefore been an instrumental part of Bills head coach Sean McDermott's base nickel defense, among one of the league's strongest units against the pass. He was named a second team All-Pro in 2023, namely for his play as a slot cornerback. Early life Johnson played high school football at Sheldon High School in Sacramento, California. Lance Zierlein
Lance Zierlein is a sports analyst and commentator. He has hosted sports talk shows on KILT 610, KBME 790, KGOW 1560 AM, and KFNC 97.5 FM in Houston, Texas. Career Zierlein graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in 1988. Following high school, he attended Tulane University. After college, Zierlein created "Pigskin Sports" which was a sports analysis company, and began to appear on radio stations around the country including in markets such as Houston, Baton Rouge and Miami. Zierlein was also a weekly football expert for the weekend show on Prime Sports Radio. The 2018 Senior Bowl was an all-star college football exhibition game featuring players from the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season, and prospects for the 2018 draft of the professional National Football League (NFL). The NFL draft, officially known as the Annual Player Selection Meeting, is an annual event which serves as the most common source of player recruitment in the National Football League. Each team is given a position in the drafting order in reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the team with the worst record is positioned first and the Super Bowl champion is last. American football, a nickel defense (also known as a 4–2–5 or 3–3–5) is any defensive alignment that uses five defensive backs, of whom the fifth is known as a nickelback. The original and most common form of the nickel defense features four down linemen and two linebackers. Sean McDermott
Sean Michael McDermott (born March 21, 1974) is an American professional football coach who is the head coach for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He began his NFL coaching career as an assistant for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2001, serving as defensive coordinator from 2009 to 2010, and was later the defensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers from 2011 to 2016. Following his six seasons with the Panthers, which included an appearance in Super Bowl 50, McDermott was hired as the Bills' head coach in 2017. In American football, a nickelback, also referred to as a slot cornerback or slot corner, is a cornerback or safety who serves as the additional defensive back in a nickel defense.
