Tariq Al-Amri
Tariq Ahmed Al-Amri (born December 23, 1990) is a Saudi Arabian long-distance runner. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 5000 metres race; his time of 14:26.90 in the heats did not qualify him for the final. Long-distance running, or endurance running, is a form of continuous running over distances of at least . Physiologically, it is largely aerobic in nature and requires stamina as well as mental strength. Within endurance running come two different types of respiration. The more prominent side that runners experience more frequently is aerobic respiration. This occurs when oxygen is present, and the body can utilize oxygen to help generate energy and muscle activity.
