''Tarikh'' or ''Tarikh: A Timeline'' (2019) is an Indian Bengali film directed by Churni Ganguly and bankrolled by Suparnokanti Karati. This was the second film directed by Ganguly after ''Nirbashito''. The film starring Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty and Raima Sen, portrays dichotomies of human existence. The film was awarded the best Screenplay for dialogues in the ''66th National Film Awards''.The film was released on 12 April 2019. Plot The film narrates a story of three individuals: Anirban Gupta, a professor, Ira, Anirban's wife, works as a hotel lobby manager, and Rudrangshu (Rudy), Anirban's childhood friend. Churni Ganguly
Churni Ganguly (née Banerjee) is a Bengali actress and director. After spending her childhood in Kurseong, she came to Kolkata and got admitted at the Jadavpur University. While studying at Jadavpur University, she joined a theatre group as an actress. Then she moved to Mumbai and acted in a few television serials. Later, she came back to Kolkata and started acting in Bengali films. Ganguly received the Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards in 2005 in the best actress category for the movie ''Waarish'', in which she played a single-mother's role. Saswata Chatterjee (born 19 December 1970) is an Indian actor of television and films based in Kolkata. Born to actor Subhendu Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee began his career with a Hindi serial directed by Saibal Mitra, based on Samaresh Majumdar's ''Kaalpurush''. He gained popularity by portraying the character of Topshe in a Feluda-based television series directed by Sandip Ray. Ritwick Chakraborty is an Indian actor who works in Bengali cinema. He made his debut with Pagol Premi in 2007.
