Ludovico Maria Enrico Einaudi OMRI (; born 23 November 1955) is an Italian pianist and composer. Trained at the Conservatorio Verdi in Milan, Einaudi began his career as a classical composer, later incorporating other styles and genres such as pop, rock, folk, and world music. Einaudi has composed the scores for a number of films and television productions, including ''This Is England'', ''The Intouchables'', ''I'm Still Here'', the TV miniseries '' Doctor Zhivago'', and ''Acquario'' (1996), for which he won the Grolla d'oro. His music was used as the score for the Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning films ''Nomadland'' and '' The Father''. He has also released a number of solo albums for piano and other instruments, notably ''I Giorni'' in 2001, ''Nightbook'' in 2009, and ''In a Time Lapse'' in 2013. OMRI
The Order of Merit of the Italian Republic () is the most senior Italian order of merit. It was established in 1951 by the second President of Italy, President of the Italian Republic, Luigi Einaudi. The highest-ranking honour of the Republic, it is awarded for "merit acquired by the nation" in the fields of science, literature, arts, economy, public service, and social, philanthropic and humanitarian activities and for long and conspicuous service in civilian and military careers. The post-nominal letters for the order are OMRI. ''I'm Still Here'' is a 2010 American mockumentary musical parody film directed by Casey Affleck, and written by Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix. The film follows the real life of Phoenix from the announcement of his retirement from acting through his transition into a career as a hip hop artist. Throughout the filming period, Phoenix remained in character for public appearances, giving many the impression that he was genuinely pursuing a new career. Primo Michele Levi (; 31 July 1919 – 11 April 1987) was a Jewish Italian chemist, partisan, Holocaust survivor and writer. He was the author of several books, collections of short stories, essays, poems and one novel. His best-known works include: '' If This Is a Man'' (''Se questo è un uomo'', 1947, published as ''Survival in Auschwitz'' in the United States), his account of the year he spent as a prisoner in the Auschwitz concentration camp in Nazi-occupied Poland; and '' The Periodic Table'' (1975), a collection of mostly autobiographical short stories, each named after a chemical element which plays a role in each story, which the Royal Institution named the best science book ever written. The project consists of seven volumes of music released over the course of seven months, beginning with the first volume, ''Seven Days Walking: Day One'', on 15 March 2019. ''Nightbook'' is an album created by Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi and released in 2009. The album saw Einaudi take a new direction with his music as he incorporated synthesized sounds alongside his solo piano playing. A new approach could be seen with tracks such as "Nightbook", and "Lady Labyrinth" where the element of percussion was utilized along the piano, acting as a driving force throughout the song.
