Sobou FC, previously known for sponsorship reasons as Cellnet Sobou and Telikom Sobou, is an amateur association football team based in Lae, Papua New Guinea. The club appears to have been in existence since the 1980s. The club is domestically one of the most successful in Papua New Guinean football history, having won five National Club Championship titles consecutively from 2001 to 2005, a domestic record they share with University. Rapatona Football Club, formerly known as Inspac Rapatona FC, CMSS Rapatona Tigers FC, Moresby Casino Hotel and currently referred to as PKA Rapatona FC for sponsorship reasons, is a Papua New Guinea football club, based in Port Moresby and founded in 1982. The club was one of the earliest teams that competed in the Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, joining the league in its second season in 2007–08, and never failing to qualify for the championship playoffs in their four years of competition, reaching the Grand Final in the 2008–09 season.
