Tanis (musician)
Tanis Chalopin (born 10 November 1993) is a French-Singaporean singer, songwriter, composer and musician. Early life Tanis was born on 10 November 1993, in Neuilly-sur-Seine France, to French producer and writer Jean Chalopin and Singaporean former model Ethel Fong. She has one brother, Janvier. Tanis grew up mostly in France and spent part of her childhood in the Château de Farcheville, Chateau de Farcheville. She began to learn the piano at the age of five and now plays four instruments: piano, cello, guitar and drums. She first gained recognition when, at the age of 14, she wrote the theme to the Disney Asia movie ''Trail of the Panda'' (2009). Tanis went on to study at the New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, Steinhardt School Department of Music and Performing Arts. Tanis ( grc, Τάνις or Τανέως ) or San al-Hagar ( ar, صان الحجر, Ṣān al-Ḥaǧar; egy, ḏꜥn.t ; ; cop, ϫⲁⲛⲓ or or ) is the Greek name for ancient Egyptian ''ḏꜥn.t'', an important archaeological site in the north-eastern Nile Delta of ancient Egypt, Egypt, and the location of a city of the same name. It is located on the Tanitic branch of the Nile, which has long since silted up. The first study of Tanis dates to 1798 during Napoléon Bonaparte's expedition to Egypt. Engineer Pierre Jacotin drew up a map of the site in the ''Description de l'Égypte''. It was first excavated in 1825 by Jean-Jacques Rifaud, who discovered the two pink granite sphinxes now in the Musée du Louvre, and then by François Auguste Ferdinand Mariette between 1860 and 1864, and subsequently by William Matthew Flinders Petrie from 1883 to 1886. Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is a British symphony orchestra based in London, that performs and produces primarily classic works. The RPO was established by Thomas Beecham in 1946. In its early days, the orchestra secured profitable recording contracts and important engagements including the Glyndebourne Festival Opera and the concerts of the Royal Philharmonic Society. After Beecham's death in 1961, the RPO's fortunes declined steeply. The RPO battled for survival until the mid-1960s, when its future was secured after a report by the Arts Council of Great Britain recommended that it should receive public subsidy. A further crisis arose in the same era when it seemed that the orchestra's right to call itself "Royal" could be withdrawn. In 2004, the RPO acquired its first permanent London base, at Cadogan Hall in Chelsea. Jean Chalopin (born 31 May 1950) is a French bank executive. During the 1980s and early 1990s, he produced a range of successful animated series, first as the founder and president of the production company DIC, then at his newly created company C&D from 1987. He is probably most well-known as the co-creator of ''Inspector Gadget'', as well as the co-writer and producer of ''The Mysterious Cities of Gold''. He currently heads Bahamas-based Deltec Bank.
