Tania Luiz
Tania Ann Luiz (born 28 August 1983) is an Australian badminton player. At the age of nine, Luiz moved with her family to Melbourne, Australia. She started playing badminton three years later, and went on to represent Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, coincidentally in her home city. She defeated South Africa's Michelle Claire Edwards, Michelle Edwards and Fiji's Karyn Whiteside in the preliminary rounds, before losing out her third match to New Zealand's Rachel Hindley, with a score of 7–21 and 12–21. Luiz qualified for the Badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's doubles, women's doubles at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by placing fifteenth and receiving a continental spot for Oceania from the Badminton World Federation's ranking list. Pedro Alejandro Yang Ruiz (born October 9, 1976) is a retired male badminton player from Guatemala. Biography Yang played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in men's singles, losing in the round of 32 to Jim Ronny Andersen of Norway. He moved to Denmark at the age of 24 and started training at the International Badminton Academy (IBA). Satoko Suetsuna
is a badminton player from Japan. Born in Ōita, Ōita Prefecture, she joined Renesas badminton club and later affiliated with Saishunkan team. She was a bronze medalist at the 2011 BWF World Championships with her partner Miyuki Maeda. Career Suetsuna has gained prominence in badminton through her success in women's doubles with her partner Miyuki Maeda, and the partnerships known by the Japanese media as "Suemae". Together they won the 2010 Denmark Open, their first major tournament victory. They went on to win the 2011 Malaysia Grand Prix Gold and the 2011 India Open. Miyuki Maeda
is a Japanese international badminton player from the Renesas badminton club and later affiliated with Saishunkan team. She participated at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, and also in three Asian Games editions from 2006 to 2014. Career Maeda's first major success was at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. With her women's doubles partner Satoko Suetsuna they finished fourth, the 2nd best performance to date by Japanese badminton players at the Olympics. The two have continued to compete together after the Olympics and have maintained a top six ranking since March 2010. On the national level they won their first doubles title in 2010.
