Tandi Wright
Tandi Wright (born 4 May 1970) is a New Zealand actress. She first gained recognition for portraying Nurse Caroline Buxton on the long running New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street''. She is best known for her roles as Fenn Partington on '' Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby'', Catherine Duvall on ''Nothing Trivial'', and Ruth in ''Pearl''. She played a recurring role in '' 800 Words'' portraying the character Laura Turner. Life Wright was born in Zambia to New Zealander parents Vernon Wright and Dinah Priestley. She grew up in Wellington and attended Wellington High School and Victoria University of Wellington. She graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School with a Diploma in Acting in 1994. Her father Vernon Wright, is a former journalist for "The Listener" who now lives in Zambia, and her mother Dinah is a writer and actress in Wellington. The Lost Children (TV Series)
''The Lost Children'' is a New Zealand drama series set in 1867. It follows four children, three of whom were shipwrecked and landed on the coast off New Plymouth, New Zealand. Siblings Ethan and Amy, who were travelling with their mother, Charlotte, from England to Canterbury; Meg, a young thief and Tama, a young Maori slave. The series was released on DVD in New Zealand in January 2007. Production ''The Lost Children'' was directed by Mike Smith and produced by John Gilbert and Big House. To fund the series, TVNZ used funds from a dividend reinvestment of funds paid to the government. The television series has 13 episodes. Child actor Rhys Castle-Hughes participated in rehearsals for two weeks and during filming still did his studies. ''Maddigan's Quest'' is a New Zealand fantasy-based television series set in a post-apocalyptic future. It was based on an original concept by Margaret Mahy and was developed for television by Rachel Lang and Gavin Strawhan. The show originally screened on BBC1 in the UK, and was also aired on TV3 in New Zealand and the Nine Network in Australia in early 2006. ''Willy Nilly Show'' was a New Zealand television series originally based on a short film by the same name. ''Street Legal'' is a New Zealand legal drama focused on the lives of a small group of lawyers. The show was produced by ScreenWorks. A total of four series consisting of 53 episodes were aired between 11 July 2000 and 21 August 2003. History Producer Chris Hampson, director Chris Bailey and writer Greg McGee formed a production company, ScreenWorks, in 1998 to produce ''Street Legal'', which they had been developing since 1993. The pilot aired in 1998 and the first series in 2000. The series was filmed at Studio West in West Auckland. ''The Adventure Series'' by Enid Blyton, a prolific English children's author, is a series of eight children's novels. These books feature the same child characters: Philip, Jack, Dinah, and Lucy-Ann, along with several adult characters. Jack's pet parrot, Kiki, is also a standard feature in each novel. The stories show the four children off on their own, discovering and solving mysteries without much adult assistance. Although the publication dates span a decade, Blyton reportedly wrote each of the novels in less than a week. The colourful dust jackets and line illustrations were by Stuart Tresilian.
