Tampereen Isku-Volley is a volleyball team from Finland. It is based in Tampere. The team was founded in 1911, originally known as Rantaperkiön Isku, the name changed to Tampereen Isku-Volley at the beginning of the 1990s. It has played in the league over thirteen year. The team has participated in over nine hundred matches, the biggest reading of Finnish teams ever. Tapio Kangasniemi
Tapio Kangasniemi (born 7 March 1979, in Jakobstad) is a former professional volleyball player from Finland. He played libero in Finnish volleyball team since 2001. Kangasniemi retired from national team in summer 2008. He works now as a volleyball coach. Career Kangasniemi started his career 9-years old in Kauhavan Wisa. After his junior year, he became top player in the Finland. He started playing in Finland Champion league in Tampereen Isku-Volley. In Isku-Volley, he won two Finland Champions seasons 2002 and 2006, silver medal in season 2003 and bronze medal in season 2005. Media have elected him three times Finland Champion league as best libero in the seasons 2002, 2004 and 2006. In season 2007–2008, Kangasniemi played in Italy A2-league in Isernia team. He was best libero in the league and legavolley chose him to All-Star game against best players in A1-league. Volleyball Clubs In Finland
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court.
