Tampa Pro (skateboard Competition)
The Skatepark of Tampa is a skatepark in Tampa, Florida, United States. It is considered one of the top skateboarding venues on the East Coast of the United States. The name is often abbreviated as ''SPoT'', and it is well known for its annual ''Tampa Am'' and ''Tampa Pro (skateboard competition), Tampa Pro'' competitions. History On December 28, 1992, SPoT was opened only to employees, and on January 2, 1993 the park officially opened to the public. The first pro contest was held April 1 & 2, 1995 and won by Mike Vallely. On April 1, 2012, SPoT announced on its website that the park had been purchased (for 9.3 million) by rapper Lil Wayne. It was revealed shortly afterwards that the fake press release was an April Fool's joke. Elissa Steamer (born July 31, 1975) is an American professional skateboarder. Early life Steamer was born in Fort Myers, Florida, United States, and began skateboarding in 1989. Steamer frequented a small city owned skate park on Grand Avenue. Yuto Horigome (skateboarder)
is a Japanese professional skateboarder and two-time Olympic champion. He won the gold medal in the inaugural Olympic men's street event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, becoming the first person to win gold in men's street skateboarding at the Summer Olympics. He defended his gold medal in the same event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Jamie Foy
Jamie Foy (born June 14, 1996) is an American regular-footed skateboarder. He was crowned 2017 and 2024 Skater of the Year by ''Thrasher'' magazine. He skates for Death Wish Skateboards, Thunder Trucks, Spitfire Wheels, Redbull and New Balance Numeric. Career Foy was born and grew up in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He started skating and entering local skate contests at a young age. Foy started his career in 2013 and won several competitions in Florida, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Carlos Ribeiro (skateboarder)
Carlos Ribeiro (21 December 1813, in Lisbon – 13 November 1882, in Lisbon) was a pioneering geologist and archaeologist who inaugurated the concept of fieldwork in Portugal, and was responsible for the discovery and excavation of many Neolithic and other sites in Portugal. Louie Lopez (born November 26, 1994) is a regular-footed American skateboarder from Los Angeles, CA. He is of Mexican and Guatemalan descent. Shane O'Neill aka Nugget (born 3 January 1990) is an Australian professional skateboarder from Melbourne, Victoria. Shane is a member of the SLS "9 Club" meaning he has landed a trick in the Street League competition that judges scored an average of 9 or better. Torey Pudwill
Torey Jamieson Pudwill (born May 2, 1990), also known by his nicknames "T-Puds and The Worm", is an American professional street skateboarder. Early life Pudwill was born in Simi Valley, California, United States (US). In a February 2013 online interview, Pudwill explained that Justin Schulte (also a sponsored skateboarder as of March 2013) was the friend that he would mostly skateboard with during his early adolescence. As a teenager, Pudwill would spend his time skateboarding with his friend Arturo at the Skatelab in Simi Valley, California.
