Tamil Nadu Football Team
The Tamil Nadu football team, also earlier the Madras football team, is an Indian football team representing Tamil Nadu in Indian state football competitions including the Santosh Trophy. They have appeared in the Santosh Trophy finals twice, in 1972–73 and 2012, and have never won. Tamil Nadu team reached semi-finals of the Santosh Trophy in 2009, where they lost to Goa. Marina Arena, also known as Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Chennai, India. The stadium is located at Sydenhams Road in Park Town, Chennai, Park Town besides the Moore Market Complex, Chennai Central suburban railway station. It has a capacity of 40,000. In 1946, the Corporation Stadium was built in a portion of the land occupied by the People's Park, Chennai, People's Park in Central Chennai, Central Madras. Robin Charles Raja
Robin Charles Raja (born 30 July 1966) is an Indian football manager and a former player. He is the coach of Chennai FC, which competes in the CFA Senior Division league. Coaching career Born in Tamil Nadu, Raja has served as the head coach of various local state clubs in the CFA Senior Division. He won the league with both Chennai Customs and Hindustan Eagles in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He also coached Chennai FC in the league in 2016. Raja has also coached Tamil Nadu in the Santosh Trophy. During the 2016 edition of the tournament, Raja lead his state side to the semi-finals of the tournament. His side lost 1–0. Sinivasan Pandiyan (born 6 December 1995) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Gokulam Kerala in I-League. Michael Soosairaj (born 25 December 1994) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger. Career Early career and Chennai City Born in Eraviputhenthurai, Tamil Nadu, Soosairaj first moved to Chennai when he attended Madras Christian College. Dharmaraj Ravanan (born 27 July 1987) is an Indian professional football player who plays as a defender. He most recently appeared with I-League club Real Kashmir.
