The Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (in ) is a Mexican public university based in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. Throughout the larger cities of Reynosa, Matamoros, Nuevo Laredo, and Tampico and smaller cities of Ciudad Mante and Valle Hermoso are UAT campuses that offer undergraduate studies. Each of the various university faculties offer graduate studies leading to the Master's or Doctorate Degree. The National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (Spanish language, Spanish: ''Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior'', ANUIES) is a non-governmental organization which includes 191 public and private higher education institutions in Mexico. Tampico is a city and port in the southeastern part of the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. It is located on the north bank of the Pánuco River, about inland from the Gulf of Mexico, and directly north of the state of Veracruz. Club de Fútbol Correcaminos de la Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, simply known as Correcaminos UAT, is a Mexican professional football club based in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. Mante, formally Ciudad Mante, is a city in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. The city is the municipal seat of El Mante municipality in extreme southern Tamaulipas, and lies in the northwestern portion of the municipality.
