Tamara Peeters-Rademakers
Tamara Rademakers (born 20 April 1982) is a Dutch professional pool player currently residing at Hoensbroek, Netherlands. Rademakers reached the semi-finals of the Women's World Pool Billiard Association Masters event in 2017. Rademakers twice reached the knockout rounds at the Women's WPA World Nine-ball Championship in both 2009 and 2010, losing in the last 32. Rademakers is a twice semi-finalist of events on the Euro Tour, reaching the semi-final at the 2013 Portugal Open, and the 2018 Leende Open. Rademakers is also a two-time European Pool Championship runner up. Geleen
Geleen (; li, Gelaen ) is a city in the southern part of the province of Limburg in the Netherlands. With 31,670 inhabitants in 2020, it is part of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen. Geleen is situated along the river Geleenbeek, a right tributary to the river Meuse. The Latin name for Geleenbeek is ''Glana'', meaning "clear river". The town centre is situated at about 60 m above sea level. History Until the end of the 19th century, Geleen was a very small village. Its population was 2,545 in 1899. The remains of one of the oldest prehistoric farms in the Netherlands were found here. 2018 Leende Open
The 2018 Dynamic Billiard Leende Open, was the fourth Euro Tour 9-Ball pool event in 2018. The event was won by America's Shane Van Boening who defeated Albania's Eklent Kaçi 9–8 in the final. Unlike other Euro Tour events, the field was open to other nations outside of Europe. Van Boening became the only American after Johnny Archer in 2000 to win a Euro Tour event. In making the final, Eklent had been in the semi-final or better of the last 5 Euro Tour events. Ruslan Tschinachow was the defending champion, but did not reach the knockout stages of the event. A women's event held in Braga at the same time as the event was held in Braga, Portugal. The event was won by Kristina Tkach defeating Marharyta Fefilava in the final 7–0. 2019 European Pool Championship
The 2019 European Pool Championships (also known as the 2019 Dynamic Billiards European Pool Championships) was a series of professional pool championships that took place at the Best Western Premier in Treviso, Italy. The event was played between 26 April and 8 May 2019 and was the 39th edition of the European Pool Championships that were first held in 1980. The championships saw events for men, women, under 23s and wheelchairs across five disciplines; straight pool, eight-ball, nine-ball, ten-ball and a team event. Russian players won the most medals over the course of the series, with seven – winning three events. Russia's Kristina Tkach was the most successful female player, winning two events, losing only once in the final of the ten-ball event. The 2018 European Pool Championships was a professional pool championship that took place at the NH Hotel Koningshof, in Veldhoven, Netherlands. The event played between 19 and 31 July 2018 was a part of the European Pool Championships; and saw events for men, women, wheelchair competitors, youth and seniors across four pool disciplines: Straight Pool, 8-Ball, 9-Ball, and 10-Ball. The event was the largest pool event ever held in Europe, with sixty tables built exclusively for the event. Eight-ball (also spelled 8-ball or eightball, and sometimes called solids and stripes, spots and stripes or rarely highs and lows) is a discipline of pool played on a billiard table with six pockets, cue sticks, and sixteen billiard balls (a and fifteen ). The Euro Tour is a series of professional pool (billiards), pool events set around Europe, founded in 1992, and created by the European Pocket Billiard Federation. The Tour's first event was the ''Belgium Open'', held on May 29 – 31, 1992. The event was won by Mika Immonen. As of 2022, the Euro Tour has hosted 176 tournaments, currently in the discipline of 9-Ball, hosting between 1 to 6 events per year, since 2010. The events are part of the official Matchroom Sport, Matchroom Pool world rankings list; with the rankings contributing to playing in the Mosconi Cup.
