Tamah Alley
Tamah Alley (born 1985) is a New Zealand local body politician who became the first female Mayor of Central Otago in late October 2024, succeeding the outgoing Tim Cadogan. She was previously a Police officer and Central Otago District councillor. Early life and career Tamah Alley was born in Oamaru. She worked for 12 years as a Police constable in Auckland and Alexandra. In 2013, she moved to Alexandra in Central Otago. Local government career By October 2024, Alley had served for two terms as a councillor for the Vincent Ward in the Central Otago District Council (CODC). Alley was re-elected as a CODC councillor during the 2022 New Zealand local elections. Following the election, Alley was appointed as the chairwoman of the Vincent Community Board. Waitaki
Waitaki District is a territorial authority district that is located in the Canterbury and Otago regions of the South Island of New Zealand. It straddles the traditional border between the two regions, the Waitaki River, and its seat is Oamaru. Otago Regional Council (ORC) is the regional council for Otago in the South Island of New Zealand. The council's principal office is Regional House on Stafford Street in Dunedin with 250–275 staff, with smaller offices in Queenstown and Alexandra. Queenstown-Lakes District
Queenstown-Lakes District, a local government district, is in the Otago Region of New Zealand that was formed in 1986. It is surrounded by the districts of Central Otago, Southland, Westland and Waitaki. Much of the area is often referred to as Queenstown because of the popularity of the resort town, but the district covers a much wider area, including the towns of Wānaka to the north-east, Glenorchy to the north-west and Kingston to the south. Benjamin Ryan Bell (born 11 May 1999) is a New Zealand politician who is the Mayor of Gore, mayor of the town of Gore, New Zealand, Gore in the South Island.
