''Tall Snake'' is the debut EP by the English rock band Bôa. It was released on 28 April 1999. It contains three versions of the single "Duvet". They include the original version, an acoustic version, and an electronic version mixed by DJ Wasei. It also includes the tracks "Two Steps" and "Little Miss". During the recording of this EP the band consisted of Alex Caird, Ben Henderson, Jasmine Rodgers, Steve Rodgers, Lee Sullivan and Paul Turrell. Bôa
Bôa (stylized bôa) are an English alternative rock band formed in London in 1993 by drummer Ed Herten, keyboardist Paul Turrell, and guitarist/vocalist Steve Rodgers. The band have progressed from playing funk to rock over the years, as bassist Alex Caird and multi-instrumentalist Ben Henderson joined, and Jasmine Rodgers was added as vocalist. Bôa produced two major albums in the 2000s, ''Twilight'' (2001) and ''Get There'' (2005). Their 1998 single "Duvet" has been certified Platinum by the RIAA. The band released the album ''Whiplash'' in 2024, their first new music in 19 years. Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. ''Twilight'' is the reissued version of the 1998 album ''The Race of a Thousand Camels'' by English alternative rock band Bôa, released on 21 March 2001 by Pioneer Entertainment. It was later reissued on 7 March 2024 by Boa Recordings. During the recording of the album, the band consisted of Alex Caird, Ben Henderson, Jasmine Rodgers, Steve Rodgers, Lee Sullivan, and Paul Turrell. The opening track, "Duvet", became popular after being used as the opening theme song of the 1998 anime television series '' Serial Experiments Lain''. On 6 October 2023, the song received a gold certification from the RIAA. A year later, on 16 October 2024, it received platinum certification for achieving 1,000,000 certified single sales thanks to its 2024 reissue and renewed attention on social media platforms. A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Lee Sullivan
Lee Terrence Sullivan (born 6 March 1971) is an English drummer for the London-based alternative rock band Bôa. Lee is the son of Terence Sullivan, the drummer for the rock band Renaissance and his wife, Christine Sullivan. He plays drums, piano and percussion. At the age of seven, Lee first performed with father on stage at one of Renaissance's concerts at the Apollo. He later joined the band Chapter VI. The band produced a single track called "The King of Comedy" and an EP called ''Bucket Chemistry''. He joined the British rock band Bôa in 1994. While with Bôa, he worked with producers Darren Allison and Neil Walsh. As a result of his background, Sullivan brought a rockier sound with him to the band and helped influence the band's transition from funk to rock. However, in later years, the band decided to form their own independent label called Bôa Recordings.
