Takesure Chinyama
Takesure Chinyama (born 30 September 1982) is a Zimbabwean professional footballer who plays as a forward for Polish Klasa A club Batory Wola Batorska. Club career Chinyama was born in Harare. In autumn 2006, he was on trial in Legia Warszawa, but they decided not to buy him. After it, he joined Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski. In the summer 2007 he joined again Legia Warszawa, joining up with fellow Zimbabwean national Dickson Choto. He became the first non-European joint top scorer in the Ekstraklasa history. Takesure Chinyama joined Legia Warsaw where there were already his two fellow countrymen: Herbert Dick and Dickson Choto. After four years, due to his poor performance in the 2009–10 and 2010–11 seasons and recurring health problems, he was released from Legia Warszawa in June 2011. Harare (; formerly Salisbury ) is the Capital city, capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe. The 2006–07 Ekstraklasa started on 28 July 2006 and finished on 26 May 2007. Zagłębie Lubin were crowned champions. Paweł Brożek
Paweł Łukasz Brożek (; born 21 April 1983) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a striker. Brozek previously represented various youth squads for Poland. He made his Poland national football team debut in 2005, scored over 30 international appearances and competed at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012. Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League
Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League is the top professional division of the Zimbabwe Football Association. It was founded in 1980, as a successor to the 1962 formed ''Rhodesia National Football League.'' It is currently sponsored by Delta Beverages under the Castle Lager brand and hence is known as Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. The current sponsorship deal runs from 2011 and is worth $3.6 million. The league consists of 18 teams listed below, that play a total of 34 matches. The season runs from April to November. Most matches are played during weekends on Saturdays and Sundays. Postponed matches are played midweek. At the end of the season four teams are relegated into the lower division and an equal number promoted. Polish Super Cup
The Polish Super Cup (, ) is an annually held match between the champions of the Ekstraklasa and the Polish Cup winners or, if the Ekstraklasa champions also win the Polish Cup, the Cup's runners-up. As of 2021, the Polish Super Cup has been played 31 times. The most successful club is Lech Poznań, who won 6 times. The most common participant are Legia Warsaw, as they played fourteen final games and have lost their eight following finals since 2012. Unlike in Polish Cup, there is no extra time played in the competition, therefore in case of a draw after regular time match goes straight into a penalty shoot-out. It began on 21 July 2010 with the first matches of the Extra Preliminary Round and ended in 2011 with the Final. Ekstraklasa Cup
The Ekstraklasa Cup ( pl, Puchar Ekstraklasy) was an elimination tournament for Polish football clubs who play in the Polish 1st Division Ekstraklasa. The Ekstraklasa Cup was the fourth attempt at introducing a League Cup competition in Poland. The first such tournament was a one-off tournament held in 1952 which Wawel Kraków won. Two other tournaments have also been held, the League Cup (1977–1978) and the Polish League Cup (1999–2002), these two tournaments mainly being cancelled after lack of interest from fans. A League Cup competition was again tried with the Ekstraklasa Cup in 2006, however this tournament again saw little interest from fans and the cup competition was cancelled in 2009 after the broadcasting rights expired. Polish Cup
The Polish Cup in football ( pl, Puchar Polski w piłce nożnej ) is an elimination tournament for Polish football clubs, held continuously from 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( pl, Puchar Tysiąca Drużyn ). Participation is open to any club registered with the Polish FA, regardless of whether it competes in any league in the national pyramid. Reserve and veteran teams are also eligible, with reserve teams reaching the final on two occasions (and winning it once). The Cup is popular among lower-level teams, as it gives them a chance to play better known sides. 2010–11 Ekstraklasa
The 2010–11 Ekstraklasa was the 77th season of the highest level of football leagues in Poland since its establishment in 1927. It began on 6 August 2010 and concluded on 29 May 2011. A total of 16 teams participated, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2009–10 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the I Liga. Each team played a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. Wisła Kraków won the title, which marked their 13th title in total.
