Takeo Shiina
Takeo Shiina (, May 11, 1929 – April 19, 2023) was a Japanese business executive who contributed to the IT industry of the world as well as of Japan. Early life and education Takeo Shiina was born in Seki, Gifu, Empire of Japan, Japan on May 11, 1929. His parents, originally from Tokyo, managed a ceramics plant at that time. Tak spent his elementary school days there, but studied at the middle and high schools attached to Keio University in Tokyo. Shiina had a BS in engineering from Keio University's Engineering School in March 1951, and then studied at Bucknell University, Pennsylvania, United States, receiving another BS degree in mechanical engineering in 1953. are medals awarded by the Emperor of Japan. They are awarded to individuals who have done meritorious deeds and also to those who have achieved excellence in their field of work. The Medals of Honor were established on December 7, 1881, and were first awarded the following year. Several expansions and amendments have been made since then. The medal design for all six types is the same, bearing the stylized characters on a Gilding, gilt central disc surrounded by a silver ring of cherry blossoms on the obverse; only the colors of the ribbon differ. If for some reason an individual were to receive a second medal of the same ribbon colour, then a second medal is not issued, but rather a new bar is added to their current medal.
