"Take It Easy Chicken" (sometimes written "Take It Easy, Chicken") is a song by Chester rock band Mansun first released in 1995. It was the first song that the group ever recorded, and was later re-recorded and released as the lead track of the ''Two EP'', the group's fourth release overall. An instrumental version appears in the PAL version of ''Gran Turismo 2''. The band comprised vocalist/rhythm guitarist Paul Draper, bassist Stove King, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Dominic Chad, and drummer Andie Rathbone. Steve Lamacq
Stephen Paul Lamacq (born 16 October 1964), sometimes known by his nickname Lammo (given to him by John Peel), is an English disc jockey, currently working with the BBC radio station BBC Radio 6 Music. Early life He attended The Ramsey Academy from 1976, which had been formed the previous year from two grammar schools. He was brought up in the Essex village of Colne Engaine. Early career He cites Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's "wonderful" 1979 single " Electricity" as his inspiration to become a disc jockey, noting that he wanted to afford air time to similar, "curious" music. Steven William "Stove" King (born 8 January 1974 in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire) is an English musician, formerly the bassist for the rock band Mansun. King formed Mansun with Paul Draper, with whom he shared an interest in graphic design. Dominic Chad
Dominic Chad (born 5 June 1972 in Exeter, Devon, England) is an English musician, formerly the lead guitarist, backing vocalist, arranger and co-writer of the rock band Mansun. Biography Early days Born in Exeter, Devon, Chad grew up in Maidstone, Kent where he attended Maidstone Grammar School. Dominic went on to study French and Russian at Bangor University, where he met bassist Mark Howard. They formed the band "Floating Bear" in 1991 with Lance Paine, Pete James and Iain Jenner and released a five-track cassette entitled "Barely Real". The band regularly played at the university's student bar including an Amnesty benefit gig, and also played at Pontardawe Festival. "Wide Open Space" is a song by Chester rock band Mansun, released as a single on 25 November 1996. The song was the lead track of ''Four EP''. The single's success led to alternative versions appearing on four of the next five Mansun singles. These versions were one live, one acoustic, and two remixes, the first and most popular by Perfecto, and a NRG version by The Trouser Enthusiasts. A completely different version credited to longtime engineer Mike Hunter was included as a hidden bonus track on their compilation ''Kleptomania''.
