Takasa was a Swiss musical group that represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. The group consisted of six Salvation Army soldiers. Career Eurovision Song Contest 2013 The band, originally named "Heilsarmee", participated in the Swiss national final with the song " You and Me". They qualified to the national final through the online selection organized by SF. On 15 December 2012, they won the Swiss national final, therefore they represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. On 17 December 2012, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced that the band would not be permitted to compete under the name "Heilsarmee" (German for "Salvation Army") at the Eurovision Song Contest, in accordance with the rules of the contest forbidding political and religious content. Switzerland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song " You and Me" written by Georg Schlunegger, Roman Camenzind and Fred Herrmann. The song was performed by the band Takasa. "You and Me" is a song recorded by Swiss group Takasa, a band composed of six members of the Swiss Salvation Army. Written and produced by Georg Schlunegger for HitMill Records, the song competed in the Swiss national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, '' Die grosse Entscheidungs Show''. The Eurovision Song Contest 2013 was the 58th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Malmö, Sweden, following the country's victory at the with the song "Euphoria" by Loreen. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT), the contest was held at Malmö Arena and consisted of two semi-finals on 14 and 16 May, and a final on 18 May 2013. The three live shows were presented by Swedish comedian and television presenter Petra Mede, being the first time only one host had presented the show since the contest.
