Taiwo Ogunjobi
Taiwo Joseph Ogunjobi (17 August 1953 – 11 February 2019) was a Nigerian football player and administrator. He played as a centre-back for Shooting Stars and represented Nigeria internationally. He later held posts as an administrator at club and state levels, and with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and its predecessor the Nigeria Football Association, serving as secretary-general between 2002 and 2005. Playing career Ogunjobi played for the Nigerian academicals team; he was made captain during 1973–74 and led the side that beat the Ghanaian academicals that season. He joined Shooting Stars, then known as WNDC Ibadan, in 1973. He left Shooting Stars in 1975 to study in the United States, but returned in 1980 and was appointed captain. A centre-back, he regularly partnered Ogbein Fawole. He led the club to the final of the 1984 African Cup of Champions Clubs. He retired in 1986. Ilesa
Ilesa () is an ancient town located in the Osun State, southwest Nigeria; it is also the name of a historic kingdom (also known as Ijesha) centred on that village. The state is ruled by a monarch bearing the title of the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland. The state of Ilesa consisted of Ilesa itself and a number of smaller surrounding cities. The AITEO Cup (a.k.a. Challenge Cup, sometimes shortened to Fed Cup), is the main football single-elimination tournament in Nigeria contested by 74 teams, representing the 36 states + 1 FCT of Nigeria. It is the Nigerian domestic cup and the Nigerian equivalent of the FA Cup, Emperor's Cup, Copa do Brasil, Coupe de France, among others. Lamidi Ona-Olapo Adesina (20 January 1939 – 11 November 2012) was a Nigerian politician and educator who became governor of Oyo State in Nigeria on 29 May 1999 after winning the 1999 Oyo State gubernatorial election as a member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) party. Early life Adesina was born on 20 January 1939. He attended Loyola College, Ibadan. then studied at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka from 1961–1965 and obtained a BA (Hons) in History. 400 Metres Hurdles
The 400 metres hurdles is a track and field hurdling event. The event has been on the Olympic athletics programme since 1900 for men and since 1984 for women. On a standard outdoor track, 400 metres is the length of the inside lane, once around the stadium. Runners stay in their lanes the entire way after starting out of the blocks and must clear ten hurdles that are evenly spaced around the track. The hurdles are positioned and weighted so that they fall forward if bumped into with sufficient force, to prevent injury to the runners. Although there is no longer any penalty for knocking hurdles over, runners prefer to clear them cleanly, as touching them during the race slows runners down. The best male athletes can run the 400 m hurdles in a time of around 46 seconds, while the very best female athletes achieve a time of around 51 seconds.
