Taisia Afonina
Taisia Kirillovna Afonina (; 13 May 1913 – 19 April 1994) was a Soviet painter and watercolorist. She lived and worked in Leningrad, was a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 - the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation), and is regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting. Biography Afonina was born on 13 May 1913 in the city Nikolaev, Kherson Governorate, of the Russian Empire (present-day Mykolaiv, Ukraine), in the family of master Shipyard "Navel" (after October Revolution Shipyard named Marty). In 1931 Taisia Afonina graduated from nine-year school in city Taganrog and came to Leningrad to obtain an art education. Taisia Chenchik
Taisiya Filipivna Chenchik (; 30 January 1936 – 19 November 2013) was a Soviet high jumper. She competed at the 1960 and 1964 Olympics and finished fifth and third, respectively. At the European championships she won a gold medal in 1966 and a silver in 1958. Chenchik also won the high jump event at the 1963 Universiade, 1967 European Indoor Championships, USSR-USA dual meets (1958–59, 1962–63, 1965) and Soviet championships (1957–59 and 1962). Chenchik was born in Ukraine in 1936. Taisia Anatolievna Kornilova () is a People's Artist of Russia, circus performer, elephant trainer, screenwriter, director, artistic director of variety-circus programs. Taisia Nikolaevna Korotkova is a Russian artist born in 1980, Moscow. She studied in the Moscow Academic Art Lyceum from 1991 until 1998 and graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art institute named after V.I Surikov in 2004. Korotkova graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow in 2003. In 2010, she won the Young Artist of the Year award, a Kandinsky Prize.
