Taichung Broadcasting Bureau
The Taichung Broadcasting Bureau () is a former radio station in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. History The station building was opened on 11 May 1935 as the third radio station in Taiwan during the Japanese rule to broadcast radio and news to central Taiwan. In 2015, the @STUDIO obtained the rights to manage and operate the building. Exhibitions The station regularly exhibits design, photography, music and culture. Transportation The station is accessible within walking distance north of Taichung Station of Taiwan Railways. North District () is an urban District (Taiwan), district in the Taiwanese city of Taichung. It was a part of Taichung before the City and County were amalgamated in 2010. The North District is one of Taichung's major developed shopping, education, and cultural areas. Taichung (, Wade–Giles: '), officially Taichung City, is a special municipality (Taiwan), special municipality in central Taiwan. Taichung is Taiwan's second-largest city, with more than 2.85 million residents, making it the largest city in Central Taiwan. Taichung Railway Station
Taichung station () is a railway station in Taichung, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railway (TR). It is served by all TR services on the Western Trunk line. History The station was originally constructed in 1905 in a wooden building architectural style and started its operation in 1908. In 1917, it was rebuilt as a red brick structure with Renaissance architectural style. On 16 October 2016, the elevated station was inaugurated in which the ground-level station was shut down. The first train that arrived at the elevated station was at 06:28.
