''Tai Chi 1: 0'' (太極之零開始) or ''Tai Chi Zero'' (太極:從零開始) is a 2012 Chinese 3D film, 3D martial arts film directed by Stephen Fung. It is a fictitious account of how the Chen-style tai chi, Chen style of the martial art tai chi, that had for generations remained within the Chen family of Chen-style tai chi#Chen Village (Chenjiagou), ''Chenjiagou'', was taught to the first outsider, Yang Luchan, by Chen Changxing. This is the first film to be produced by Stephen Fung's and Daniel Wu's new production company, Diversion Pictures and also marked the acting debut of wushu athlete Jayden Yuan, who plays the lead role. The film was shot back-to-back with its sequel, ''Tai Chi Hero.'' They are to be followed by a third as-of-yet undeveloped movie named ''Tai Chi Summit''. Fung Chun-choi (born 9 August 1974), known professionally as Stephen Fung Tak-lun, is a Hong Kong actor, singer, writer, and film director. Biography Fung Tak-lun was born in Hong Kong and studied at German Swiss International School. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he studied graphic design. Fung made his acting debut in '' Forbidden Nights'' (1990). Since then he has starred in more than 40 films and became a household name in China. Hung Yan-yan (born 25 February 1962, also credited as 熊欣欣 or Xiong Xin Xin) is a Hong Kong martial artist, actor, stuntman and action director originally from Liuzhou, Guangxi, China. He was the stunt double for martial arts superstar Jet Li. Early life Hung was born in Liuzhou, Guangxi, China in 1962. He was placed in a martial arts school at age 12 after he was taken away from school. Hung trained for 12 years and won multiple championships.
