Antiquities Advisory Board
The Antiquities Advisory Board (AAB) is a statutory body of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with the responsibility of advising the Antiquities Authority on any matters relating to antiquities and monuments. The AAB was established in 1976 along with the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) when the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53) was enacted, and comprises members appointed by the Chief Executive. The corresponding governmental ministry is the Development Bureau, and executive support for the AAB is provided by the AMO which is under the Development Bureau. Formation The Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53) was passed in 1971. However, the Ordinance was not "give life" and the AAB was not constituted until February of 1977. Tai Wo Market
Tai Wo () or known as Tai Wo Market are the names of several areas in the Tai Po District, in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The boundaries changed from time to time. In present time, the name "Tai Wo" mostly refers to the area surrounding the Tai Wo station of the East Rail line and the Tai Wo Estate. However, historically, Tai Wo referred to the area that currently called Tai Po Market. Despite Tai Po Market was also the old name of another area, which currently known as Tai Po Old Market. Tai Po Market
Tai Po Market or Tai Po Hui is the name of an area within the modern-day Tai Po New Town in the Tai Po District, in the New Territories, Hong Kong. However, its exact location changed from time to time. It is considered as the town centre of the area known as Tai Po. The area was first established as a market town, at the location of the modern-day residential and commercial area Tai Po Old Market (or Tai Po Kau Hui), which is near the present-day area Tai Wo ( Tai Wo Estate). Later on, a new market, Tai Wo Shi was established across the river and when the Kowloon-Canton Railway British Section was opened in 1910 it was the site of a flag station named Tai Po Market. Tang Clan
The Tang Clan of Hong Kong () is one of the Five Great Clans of the New Territories (). The others are Man (Wen; 文), Hau ( Hou; 侯), Pang (Peng; 彭) and Liu ( Liao; 廖). The Tangs are one of the region's oldest families and can trace their lineage back 30 generations in Hong Kong and 86 generations in China. In the New Territories, the clan stands about 25,000 strong. Sharing the same surname as the Deng in China, the Tangs of Hong Kong originated from Jishui of Jiangxi province and are considered to be native Hong Kong people, as they were the first immigrants to settle in what is now Hong Kong from what is now mainland China in the 11th century. Lung Yeuk Tau (), commonly known as Lung Ku Tau () and also called Lung Ling () is an area located northeast of Luen Wo Hui in Fanling, New Territories, Hong Kong. Tai Hang () is an area in the Tai Po District of Hong Kong. The area encompasses several villages, including Tsz Tong Tsuen () and the two walled villages of Chung Sum Wai () and Fui Sha Wai (). Ting Kok
Ting Kok is the name of an area and a village in the northeastern part of Hong Kong. It is located on the northern shore of Plover Cove * Lee Ancestral Hall (). Built in the late 19th century. Not graded. There are more than 10 ancestral halls in the village. Most of them have been modernized. Flora and fauna A mangrove covers a coastal area of about seven hectares near Ting Kok Village. It is one of the few sites in Hong Kong where a large population of ''Lumnitzera racemosa'' can be found.
