Tai Pak Tin East () is one of the 31 constituencies in the Kwai Tsing District of Hong Kong. The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested. The Kwai Tsing District Council () is the district council of Hong Kong, district council for the Kwai Tsing District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. It currently consists of 32 members of which 6 are directly elected from the three constituencies of the district, 12 district committee members, 13 appointed members, and one ex-officio member who is the Tsing Yi Rural Committee chairman. Kwai Tsing District
Kwai Tsing is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It consists of two parts - Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi Island. Kwai Tsing is part of the New Territories. It had a population of 520,572 in 2016. The district has the third least educated residents and their income is below average. Kwai Tsing did not exist as a district when Hong Kong's District Boards were formed in the early 1980s; it remained a part of Tsuen Wan District until 1985. The newly created district was known as Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi District () until 1988, when its name was shortened to Kwai Tsing District. Shek Lei Estate (), also known by Shek Lei (, both are currently used) is a public housing estate in Hong Kong, situated in the Shek Lei Pui () area in northeast Kwai Chung, New Territories, near Shek Yam Estate, On Yam Estate and Shek Yam East Estate. The estate is separated into two parts, namely Shek Lei (I) Estate () and Shek Lei (II) Estate (). Kwai Chung is an urban area within Tsuen Wan New Town in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Together with Tsing Yi Island, it is part of the Kwai Tsing District of Hong Kong. It is also part of Tsuen Wan New Town. In 2000, it had a population of 287,000. Its area is 9.93 km2. Areas within Kwai Chung include: Kwai Fong, Kwai Hing, Lai King, Tai Wo Hau.
