Tai Hang Road
Tai Hang Road () is a major road on the north side of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. Starting low from Tai Hang at Tung Lo Wan Road, Causeway Bay, it winds up to So Kon Po and further up to the mid-levels of Jardine's Lookout and Mount Nicholson, passing through Wong Nai Chung Gap. There are a number of luxurious residential apartments along this road such as Illumination Terrace, Grand Deco Tower and The Legend. The road meets Lai Tak Tsuen and Haw Par Mansion in Tai Hang. Wong Nai Chung Gap Road () is a road in Wan Chai District and Southern District, located within Wong Nai Chung Gap within Hong Kong. History The road was built at the strategic pass on Hong Kong Island, named Wong Nai Chung Gap. It was a key road leading from Victoria Harbour towards Stanley and Wong Chuk Hang through this Gap before continuing along Repulse Bay Road down towards the south. It was the site of a major engagement during the Battle of Hong Kong during World War II. Tung Lo Wan Road () is a road in Causeway Bay and Tai Hang on the north side of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. The road joins east with King's Road, Tin Hau Temple Road, Causeway Road and west with Yee Wo Street, Irving Street, Leighton Road and Causeway Road. Tai Hang () is an area southeast of Causeway Bay located in the mid-north of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. It is home to many luxurious private apartments. Residents are predominantly more affluent Hong Kong locals and expatriate professionals. Geography Tai Hang is a valley with an opening to Causeway Bay in north and So Kon Po in west. To its south and east are hills. The former coastline is marked by Tung Lo Wan Road and the main road Tai Hang Road winds in the hills throughout the area. The area of Tai Hang is divided into upper and lower areas. So Kon Po or Sookunpo () is an area of Hong Kong Island located south of Causeway Bay and Victoria Park in Hong Kong. It neighbours Caroline Hill and Jardine's Lookout. Jardine's Lookout () is a mountain in Wan Chai District, Hong Kong with a height of . It is located east of Happy Valley, south of Causeway Bay, and west of Braemar Hill and north of Tai Tam Country Park. A low-density, high-end residential area called Jardine's Lookout can be found between Wong Nai Chung Gap and Mount Butler. Mount Nicholson () is a tall mountain located in Wan Chai District, on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. The hill is believed to be named for Hong Kong Volunteer Corps Adjutant Lieutenant W.C.A. Wong Nai Chung Gap () is a geographic gap in the middle of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. The gap is between Mount Nicholson and Jardine's Lookout behind Wong Nai Chung (Happy Valley). Five roads meet at the gap: Wong Nai Chung Gap Road, Tai Tam Reservoir Road, Repulse Bay Road, Deep Water Bay Road and Black's Link.
