Tahir Zemaj
Tahir Zemaj (28 December 1952 – 4 January 2003) born in Strellc region, Gjakova, Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia (now Kosovo) was an officer in the Yugoslav People's Army, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kosova (FARK) and general of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) during the Kosovo War (1998–1999). On 4 January 2003, he was murdered along with his son and cousin in the city of Peja. Strellc
Strellc ( sq, Strellc/Streoc/Mali i Strellcit; sr, Стреочка планина, ''Streočka planina'') is a mountain in Western Kosovo, in the Accursed Mountains range. To its right are the Metohija, Plains of Dukagjin. At peak, Streoc stands out very well and from the city of Peja there is a good view of the whole mountain. The village of Strellc found around the mountain is named after the mountain. From the town of Klina in the far east of the valley Strellc looks to be even higher than Gjeravica, the highest mountain in Kosovo. The mountain located in Strellc is known to be highly rich in minerals and other valuable materials. The favourable position of Strellc, makes the village a place of great interest for foreign investors.
