Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange
The Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange (TITX), originally conceptualized as the South Integrated Transport System (ITS-South), is a proposed intermodal transport terminal in Arca South, Taguig. It is primarily a bus terminal for buses going to and from southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao but connected to the FTI station and the under-construction Metro Manila Subway. Originally scheduled for completion by 2022, construction has yet to begin as pre-construction activities were temporarily suspended due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Intermodal Terminal
Intermodal passenger transport, also called mixed-mode commuting, involves using two or more modes of transportation in a journey. Mixed-mode commuting is often used to combine the strengths (and offset the weaknesses) of various transportation options. A major goal of modern intermodal passenger transport is to reduce dependence on the automobile as the major mode of ground transportation and increase use of public transport. Arca South
Arca South is a 74-hectare planned unit development owned by Ayala Land, Inc. located at East Service Road, Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig. It was formerly part of Food Terminal Inc. before being sold to Ayala Land. History With the decline of FTI, there have been several attempts over multiple Philippines presidential administrations to sell off part of the property, including a public auction in 2009, but they all failed. In November 2012, the Philippine government announced the sale of the 74 hectares of the 120-hectare property to Ayala Land, Inc. for 24.3 billion Philippine pesos. FTI Station
FTI station (also called Food Terminal Junction station) is a railway station located on the South Main Line in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is named after its major landmark, the grounds of the formerly state-owned Food Terminal, Inc. which is now renamed as Arca South. The station is the thirteenth station from Tutuban and is one of two stations serving Taguig, the other station being Nichols. The station was opened on January 19, 1977 as Food Terminal Junction station, replacing the now-defunct Balagbag station that was located few meters northwest. In 2018, PNR extended the North Shuttle Line southwards from Dela Rosa to FTI as its new terminus, effectively starting on September 10, while northwards from Caloocan to Governor Pascual started on December 3. Metro Manila Subway
The Metro Manila Subway, formerly known as the Mega Manila Subway (MMS), is an under-construction underground rapid transit line in Metro Manila, Philippines. The line, which will run north–south between Quezon City, Pasig, Makati, Taguig, Parañaque and Pasay, consists of 15 stations between the and stations. It will become the country's second direct airport rail link after the North–South Commuter Railway, with a branch line to Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
