Taeil (singer)
Moon Tae-il (, born June 14, 1994), known mononymously as Taeil, is a South Korean singer. He is a former member of the South Korean boy band NCT and its sub-units NCT U and NCT 127, managed by the label SM Entertainment. Taeil made his debut in April 2016 in the rotational unit NCT U and became a member of the Seoul-based unit NCT 127 in July 2016. He departed from NCT on August 28, 2024, following allegations of sexual offenses, later revealed to be quasi-rape. Early life Moon Tae-il was born on June 14, 1994, in Seoul, South Korea. He was accepted to the Applied Music program of Hanyang University in 2013; that year, the program was reportedly the most competitive early-admissions program in the country, topping law and medicine at other prestigious schools. Lee Tae-il (; born September 24, 1990), better known by the mononym Taeil (), is a South Korean singer, signed under Seven Seasons. He is the main vocalist of boy band Block B and is part of the T2u sub-unit with U-Kwon. Biography Lee Tae-il was born in Seoul, South Korea, where he lived with his parents, elder sister and younger brother. Jeon Tae-il (; 28 September 1948 – 13 November 1970) was a South Korean sewing worker and workers' rights activist who committed suicide by self-immolation at the age of 22 in protest of the poor working conditions of South Korean factories during the Third Republic era. His death brought attention to the country's substandard labor conditions and advanced the formation of a labor union movement in South Korea. Early life Jeon Tae-il was born on 28 September 1948. He was the son of Jeon Sang-soo, a poor sewing worker from Namsan-dong, Daegu, and his wife, Lee So-sun. At one time, his father tried his hand at the domestic water industry, but failed repeatedly. Chang Tae-il (born April 10, 1965 in South Korea ) is a retired South Korean boxer. Professional career After turning professional in 1981 he had compiled a record of 21-2-1 in 6 years before challenging for the vacant IBF super flyweight championship against Kwon Soon-chun in 1987. The title had been declared vacant after titleholder Ellyas Pical challenged and lost to WBA champion Khaosai Galaxy. Chang was successful in his fight against Kwon and won the IBF title. He lost the title in his first defense to the original titleholder Pical and would retire from the sport in 1989 after losing to WBA champion Khaosai Galaxy.
