Table Magic
Close-up magic (also known as table magic or micromagic) is magic performed in an intimate setting usually no more than 3 meters (10 feet) from one's audience and is usually performed while sitting at a table. Sleight-of-hand, also known as prestidigitation ("quick fingers") or ''léger de main'' (Fr., "lightness of hand"), is the set of techniques used by a magician to secretly manipulate objects. Coins and playing cards are the most commonly used objects, but any small item can be used such as dice, bottle caps, sugar cubes, sponge balls, pebbles, pens, and cups and balls. A magician may use more than one kind of object in a single trick. Close-up magicians may also enhance their performance by combining magic with other elements, such as cardistry. While magic uses misdirection to produce an illusion, these flourishes are more straightforward displays of skill, comparable to juggling. Andrew Nunn
Andrew Peter Nunn (born 30 July 1957) is a British retired Anglican priest. Before retirement, he served as Dean of Southwark in the Church of England. Early life Nunn was born on 30 July 1957 in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire. From 1975 to 1979, he studied public administration at Leicester Polytechnic, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA (Hons)) degree. He then worked for a year as a rent collector for the Housing Department of Wellingborough Borough Council in Northamptonshire. In 1980, he entered the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield, to train for ordination. Jewel Aich
Jewel Aich (born 10 April 1950) is a Bangladeshi magician and bansuri player. He is a veteran of the Bangladesh Liberation War. Personal life Aich was born in Shomdekathi, East Bengal (present-day Barisal District, Bangladesh), the fifth of nine children born to Indian businessman Bijoy Kumar (B.K.) Aich and Saraju Aich, a homemaker. He became interested in magic and choreography early in his life. His interest grew after a Romani man performed a magic and dance routine during a visit to Aich's family home. Canuto Francia (January 28, 1904 – September 4, 1979), better known as Canuplin, was a Filipino stage performer and magician who gained fame for his impersonation of Charlie Chaplin in Filipino movies and the local bodabil circuit. Biography Canuplin was born in Tondo, Manila, but grew up in Divisoria. At age 11, he won "best in costume" while dressed as Chaplin in a local fair. Charles Wesley Cameron (31 October 1927 – 7 January 2001) was a professional magician who specialised in a style known as bizarre magic. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and has a younger brother. Matthias Buchinger (; June 2, 1674 – January 17, 1740), sometimes called Matthew Buckinger in English, was a German artist, magician, calligrapher, and performer who was born without hands or feet and was tall. Buchinger was especially noted for his micrography, in which illustrations consist of very small text.
